FAQ
Are my images uploaded?
No. Files are read and converted in your browser tab.
Which formats can I convert to?
JPEG, PNG and WebP are supported in most modern browsers. AVIF appears only when the browser can encode it through Canvas.
What happens to transparent PNG images converted to JPEG?
JPEG does not support transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with the selected background color.
Does conversion remove EXIF metadata?
Canvas re-encoding usually strips camera metadata such as EXIF and GPS.
Why is AVIF disabled?
Some browsers can view AVIF but cannot export AVIF from Canvas. The tool disables unsupported output formats automatically.
