FAQ

Does this show GPS data?

For JPEG photos with readable EXIF GPS tags, the tool shows the coordinates and marks them as a privacy risk.

How does stripping work?

The browser decodes the image pixels to Canvas and exports a new image file, which removes common EXIF and metadata blocks.

Are photos uploaded?

No. Metadata reading, cleaning and ZIP creation all happen in your browser.

Is every private metadata block guaranteed removed?

Canvas re-encoding removes common metadata in browser exports, but unusual proprietary metadata should still be checked for high-risk workflows.
