What is this pixel art maker?
Pixel Art Maker turns a local image into a small-grid pixel illustration in your browser. Choose an 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 or 1024 pixel grid, reduce the palette, add dithering and edit individual cells before exporting a PNG.
Images stay in your browser. The tool does not upload, store or send your image to a server. Very large images are limited locally to protect browser memory.

FAQ
Does the image leave my device?
No. Decoding, sampling, palette reduction and export run locally in your browser.
Why does a larger grid look different?
The grid controls the number of source samples. A smaller grid creates chunkier pixels and a larger grid preserves more detail.
Can I create transparent pixel art?
Yes. Enable transparent background before regenerating the image. The downloaded PNG keeps the alpha channel.
